Book Fair Shenanigans- part 2 :)

         Back to paying on mobile again- that which started everything here 🙈. After paying my phone screen reverts to home and the elderly man squints trying to recognize the man in my wallpaper. Beyond Flustered, i timidly let him know that the man is in fact, a south korean , NOT JAPANESE!!- Kim Namjoon, the BTS leader to be exact. "I love their music!" i declare emphatically which is met with good natured smiles all around. I don't know when my life got to the point that Im telling a japanese man about a korean man in a random book stall in chennai. Then i hear my sisters voice "we are sisters!"  and i'm surprised to find her there. Later i learnt that while she was looking around the sweet lady invited her in. Book Fair Shenanigans -part 1 :)

         Preface: Yes, I'm aware that the bookfair was last month. Frankly I haven't been in the best of health lately and with everything happening, I decided to write this soon lest i forget 😅. Now, onto the actual post!!                       O n a typical Sunday afternoon,  My sister suddenly rushed into our living room and announced rather emphatically " Let's go to the Bookfair!" and cue, the nostalgic memories. I remembered going to the bookfair in YMCA for the first time as a teen, a family outing with my mom and sister, and then my mom's sister and her two daughters whom we grew up with. we got along well as the four of us are closer in age. It was an eclectic experience in itself and the vibe reminded us of the annual cultural fair (porutkaatchi)  at island grounds. We marveled at the sheer scale of the setup and tried to check out as many stalls as we could, only to end up exhauste...

                         Intrigued? well before we begin, let me ask you, should you allow rain to play spoilsport to your plans, yes or no? I'd suggest the latter and guarantee that the experience would be a core memory. outrageous? Let me share my experience substantiating the same.                        My sister and I had plans to go to the open air theatre experience which was to be held at Elliot's beach, Besant Nagar on September 3. The show was to begin at 5'o clock in the evening and as we were getting ready, we notice the sudden chill in the air and slightly cloudy sky. "Eh, it wont be that bad" we assumed, didn't take an umbrella ( No prizes for guessing ) and hailed a cab. We weren't allowed to take out bumblebee by ourselves( our family car which is mustard yellow with black highlights ) as we were relatively inexperienced at driving.     ...
